The study is aimed at acquiring expertise in fine art with emphasis on developing young talent as a prerequisite for the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for creative artistic activities in fine art and stage and costume design.

The graduates with a bachelor’s degree can cooperate with theatre directors, dramaturges, actors and producers. They are capable of creating, presenting and defending their own work and ensuring its production. They can also pursue their careers as freelance artists and stage and costume designers working for the media and advertising agencies.

The main objective of the master’s programme is to train independent artists capable of creating their own stage design in cooperation with theatre directors, managers and technical staff and applying their own creative imagination and fantasy. With the help of all the components of theatre synthesis they produce a structured stage form with a distinctive artistic statement.
The graduates can work as independent artists – stage designers, members of the creative team, and after completing additional pedagogical studies they can become teachers at primary and secondary schools in their field, and work in cultural institutions, advertising and so on.
